Conference goals

  • to understand that F.S.E. is the only scientific approach to study the fire phenomenon and the effects on people and things;
  • to understand that F.S.E. cannot rely only on chemical-physical-mathematical knowledge (but it needs other sciences such as psychology and physiology when investigating human behavior);
  • to understand that F.S.E. in Italy is not very widespread and even less appreciated, despite being the ultimate instrument to deal with fire issues;
  • to finally encourage, even in Italy, a high level debate on scientific issues ignored by Italian universities.
